Richard Carle, playwright, composer, lyricist, producer, director and actor on stage and in film, was born in Somerville, Massachusetts and died in Hollywood, California. His early career, 1900-1920s, was on Broadway in musical comedy as author, producer, director, lyricist and performer. He often acted in his own plays.
